AAMW is committed to developing and encouraging collaborative action to strengthen the economic, cultural and educational foundations of our communities.
Our Values and Guiding Principles
AAMW believes that:
Through the bonds of brotherhood and fellowship, the spirit of collective work and responsibility and a strong commitment to community, we can make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
The reinforcement of family values, the education and development of our youth, preserving the richness and diversity of our cultural heritage and building the capacity of our communities to achieve their vision and goals are all essential to fulfilling our mission.
Partnering with those organizations and individuals who share in our vision, values and goals leads to the greater success.

Soccer
Bringing together young people ages 5-13, coaches, and soccer professionals this program provides an opportunity to learn the sport, improve skill levels, develop creativity, and enhance decision making capabilities.
Domestic Violence Forum
Our goal is to start an ongoing dialogue that encourages accountability and responsibility in our males by shifting the focus of domestic violence from why she stays or stays silent to why he is violent.
Tennis
The tennis program is designed to provide young people, ages 5-18, with knowledge about the benefits of physical fitness, skill development, and social networking that will last them a lifetime. It also emphasizes that academic achievement is required to participate and excel in any sport. Athletics are used as the entrée to young people to get them to focus on education as the real way to life achievement. This is another tool we use to engage our young people in a “healthy life style”, and show that the community supports them.
The programs and activities of the AAMW, and its membership’s involvement in the community are totally consistent with Entergy’s motto of “lighting the way to a brighter future by investing in our communities”. We are both committed to diversity, expanding educational opportunities, preparation for the challenges of a changing business world, and developing a sense of community service among our young people.
